The GBC StripBind™ range features products from 2 world-renowned brands: VeloBind® and Surebind™. Together they offer a choice of three binding formats to suit different machine types and office environments.
The VeloBind® re-closeable, 4-prong format is ideal for desktop, personal or home office use and gives you the flexibility to edit individual pages as often as you like. Featuring a simple A4 plastic strip, the 4 equally spaced holes ensure that up to 200 pages are securely held along the full length. Simply fold over the pins to ‘lock’ pages in place. Page changing is quick and simple too: just unlock the pins, add or remove pages and re-close.
By contrast, the Surebind™ 10-prong or VeloBind® 12-prong formats are the preferred choice of office professionals requiring permanently bound, tamper-proof legal or contractual documents. The 10 or 12 prongs can hold up to 750 pages and once pushed through the page holes are welded securely in place. Page changing is only possible if the weld is broken and the pages fully rebound.
In addition, the Surebind™ 10-prong format allows the secure re-binding of 21-hole documents originally bound using CombBind. This is a very useful feature when moving from the first draft of a document to the final, secure version.
Whatever your spine format, document size and machine system, GBC StripBind™ is a relatively easy, 4-step process. Simply: 1. Collate the pages you wish to bind. 2. Punch the pages in batches according to the punch capacity of your machine. 3. Insert the strips into the document and your chosen covers. 4. Complete the closing process: with the pins pushed through all your pages, the strips are either folded over (VeloBind® 4-prong) or cut and welded by the unit (SureBind™ 10 prong /VeloBind® 12-prong).
