The 4x4 Matrix RMT Remote control lets you control your Gefen Matrix Switcher from up to 1000 feet away. A length of CAT5 or CAT6 network cable extends from the Matrix unit to the remotely located 4x4 Matrix RMT Remote Control. Three methods may be used to control the Matrix unit from the remote location: IR Control, RS-232 Control, and Push-Button Control.

<b>How It Works</b>

Relocate the 4x4 Matrix RMT Remote up to 1000 feet from the Matrix. Connect the two devices with up to 1000 feet of CAT5/CAT6 cable. To control the Matrix with the included handheld IR Remote Control, simply point the IR Remote Control towards the RMT Remote and press the selection buttons on the IR Remote Control. RS-232 Control may be had by connecting a DB9 Serial Cable between the RMT Remote's rear panel and a computer or RS-232 control device and issuing RS-232 command strings to the RMT Remote. Finally, the front panel buttons on the RMT Remote may be used to control the remotely located Matrix unit.
