Modular Hot-End, 3mm The modular Hot-End is compatible with all extruders with a 16mm mount and designed for thermoplastic materials like ABS, PLA, HDPE, PP, PE etc. with a diameter of 3mm.
The advantage of the modular design is the simplicity of cleaning, maintenance and experiments. The nozzle can easily be changed without demounting the whole extruder. Cleaning or changing the nozzle takes only a couple of minutes.
The thermal barrier is made of PEEK and filled with a PTFE tube to reduce the friction and adhesion of material inside the barrier. It is possible to use ABS and PLA without problems.
This hot-end is used in our PRotos 3D-Printer and X400.
