-30 - 100°, 360°, Magnesium, 0.32 kg GH2781T is a 'simplified' centre ball head, specifically conceived for travelling. This new head combines lightweight and compactness with a lot of the innovative features. First of all the ball is the revolutionary Gitzo patent pending 'Bubble Ball' PTFE treated, mounted on PTFE bushings. Apart from the dramatic weight reduction achieved, this beautiful sphere guarantees an exceptionally smooth operation. Also the locking system is the Gitzo unique and patent pending Spring Assisted Double Lock (SADL) that combines two locking systems in one, maximising both locking power and operation smoothness.

Safe Lock is a special techno polymer that maximises locking torque and equipment stabilisation. It is used on the upper discs of tripods and heads, and in applications where the equipment is rotated and screwed onto the support to eliminate micro movements and vibration.

The new leveling system made of three independent leveling bubbles on the quick release plate and one in the ball stem, always guarantee perfectly leveled images. The problem that affects many high quality heads in the market regarding drift angle is absolutely minimised with an outstanding value of 0.03°.

PTFE is a special treatment that generates a unique ultra smooth surface and dramatically reduces friction between moving parts. This treatment bonds strongly with metal surfaces and ensures long-lasting performance. PTFE is one of the lowest-friction materials known to science, with the same friction coefficient as melting ice. This treatment is now applied not only to ball heads, but also to plates, video bowls and other sliding parts for smooth, precise and fine movements.
