Gitzo GH5381SQR tripod head

The Systematic head is a low-profile, wide, stable quick release ball-type head that fits into the shoulder of a Systematic tripod. It allows a camera to be mounted very close to the top of the tripod for optimal support, and lets the camera be leveled or angled accurately with 28° of tilt and 360° of rotation around the central axis.

The Systematic head features a hydraulic locking system, which allows faster control, great locking speed and exceptional smoothness. The sliding quick release system allows a camera to be quickly attached, removed and centred above the tripod for stability. A secondary safety mechanism prevents the plate and camera from sliding out accidentally.

This new version of the head is fully compatible with updated Systematic tripods, in particular with the safety catch feature of Gitzo's updated Systematic range, offering secure, accident-proof support, even during changeovers of center components. A GS5300S step-up adapter ring is included with the head to allow it to be used on any Series 2, 3, 4 or 5 Systematic tripod.

The hook on the underside of the head allows weights or bags to be hung under the tripod to further improve stability.
