It lets users enjoy the high denition video and audio provided by Blu-ray contents. And user can easily preserve, edit and share up to 8.5GB of video, photos, and multimedia presentations on one double layer DVD disc, and quickly store, backup and trasnport les on DVDs and CDs.

The BD240i reads BD ROM at up to 8X, BD-R/RE at up to 6X, records DVD+/-R at up to16X, DVD+/-R DL at up to 8X, rewritable DVDs at up to 8X and DVDRAM at up to 12X.
