Scan your business cards and organize your contacts
The IRIS Business Card Reader II is a state-of-the-art business card management solution to create and update your electronic address book.
Simply scan your business and, in seconds, Cardiris analyzes the information your business cards contain and sends it to a powerful contact management database. All the data concerning your contacts - company, first name, last name, address, e-mail, etc. - are encoded with no effort!
Color scanning, archiving and display
You can scan, store and display your business cards in color, grayscale and black-and-white.
New OCR technology
An optimized OCR ("Optical Character Recognition") engine converts your scanned business cards rapidly and accurately into database records. You obtain a comprehensive address book with electronic contacts and color images of your business cards.
Business card recognition
After the scanning, the business cards are processed by Cardiris, the I.R.I.S. business card organizer software, which offers the following features:
- Automatic orientation of the business cards
- Automatic deskewing and cropping
- State-of-the-art field analysis
- Zoom to see details of the card images
Drag-an-drop the information
Select a piece of information and drop it on the right database field: OCR gets executed "on the fly"!
Sort, search and selection tools
Any contact can be retrieved instantly: thanks to "full-text" searching, you're bound to find your contact person back—even with very little information to go on, say part of his first name. Or search by specific database fields. Then, sort the search results by the company name, name etc.
Contact printing
Define the fields you want and print your contact list - as a phone book or as labels. All popular label formats (Avery etc.) are supported.
Export and import your contacts
Export your contacts in a structures file (vCard, HTML, TEXT) or directly to your favorite contact manager (Address Book, Microsoft Entourage, Now Contact, etc.)
