The IB-U31-02 works with any PCIe x4, x8 and x16 slot with Generation 2 and adds the ultimate-speed transfers of up to 10 Gbit/s — twice as fast USB 3.0.

The USB 3.1 standard is backward-compatible with your existing USB devices, provided that respective cables in use.
