It functions in any PCI-E x4, x8 and x16 Generation 2 slot and offers an extremly fast data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbit/s - twice as fast as USB 3.0. With this next generation standard you are fully equipped for the high speed demands of the USB 3.1 devices. The new USB 3.1 standard is naturally compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 in the respective transfer rates.

If you run Windows 8/8.1/10 no driver installation is needed and you are ready to go. Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008R2 are also supported with the provided driver disc. Older operating system will not support USB 3.1 speed. Please note the compatibility list in the datasheet.
