Housings for Canon G9 Digital Cameras
For the most discerning of underwater photographers we offer full-featured yet affordable camera housings for Canon Powershot G7 and G9 digital cameras. These durable housings are molded of crystal clear polycarbonate for corrosion free operation up to a depth of 200ft (60m).
Complete housing and camera weighs less than 6 pounds. Housing measures 7" wide (10" wide with the removable handle bar attached), 6" high, and 6" deep.

Every camera function except the self timer and continuous button is accessible in this very sophisticated housing installation.
The included tray and release handle offers balance and exceptional handling while providing a convenient attachment point for optional Substrobe mounting arms. Strobe arms can be released easily at the touch of a button whether above or below water.
An external diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used to illuminate subjects underwater.
Removable external color filters #6441.41 for tropical blue water and #6441.81 for green water settings provide color correction in sunny conditions up to approximately 80ft (24m). For use without a flash. Filters sold separately.
Special conversion circuitry built in to the housing provides true Canon eTTL exposure connected to any current model Ikelite DS Substrobe. The camera controls the Substrobe's output resulting in effortlessly perfect exposure. See strobe circuitry requirements by serial number.
Optional Accessories Available:
Ikelite DS-series Substrobes are industry favorites for their warm, even coverage and lightning fast recycle time. We recommend convenient and affordable strobe with sync cord packages that provide everything you need to take advantage of "automatic" TTL exposure.
For manual exposure applications, the #4100.6 EV Manual Controller provides precise control of any Ikelite DS Substrobe in 10 power settings. It can be attached with sync cord or triggered by the camera's built-in flash. Use of the EV Controller precludes use of the housing's TTL conversion circuitry.
Special sync cords are available to connect non-Ikelite strobes from Nikonos, Inon, and Sea & Sea. Non-Ikelite strobes can be used in manual modes only.
The #9571.3 1" (2.5cm) ball at release handle allows for the attachment of Ultralight, TLC, and other non-Ikelite arm systems.
Dual Handle and Tray assembly #9523.32 provides greater stability and allows for the addition of a second Substrobe.
The #9305.92 Flat Port ( $100 ) replaces the standard housing port for effective use of 67mm threaded external wide-angle lenses. This shorter port only slightly limits the camera's normal zoom range (limited to approx. 120mm). Port removal tool is included. Use of wide-angle lenses may require zooming one to two stops to eliminate vignetting. A significant increase in angle of coverage is still achieved after zooming.
The Ikelite W-20 Wide-Angle Conversion Lens #6420 lets you get closer to your subject for improved clarity and color. Requires optional #9305.92 Flat Port for effective use.

NOTE: Control placement and TTL conversion circuitry differ between housings. Housings and cameras are not interchangeable. Existing housings cannot be converted or retrofitted.
