Live Image Capture Directly to Your Projector
The VZ-1 HD doc cam puts the choice in your hands for teaching, demonstrations and presentations — no computer required. Use a VGA connection to stream live images directly to your projector or monitor. A dedicated VGA connection allows you to directly connect VZ-1 HD to most any projector, television or monitor with a VGA input. A live image stream will be sent from the camera to your projector without the need for a computer. Easily share documents, textbooks, artwork, 3D objects, and devices with digital screens like tablets and smartphones.
The Dual-Mode Document Camera
You can also elect to turn VZ-1 HD into your own personal assistant by connecting to PC, Mac or Chromebook via USB. Scan tests and worksheets, capture material for demonstrations, share educational apps on iPad and much more. In this mode, you can take your images even further with IPEVO Presenter software, which is packed with additional features and handy image customizations.
New Design, Big Features, Little Package
Most document cameras in the marketplace are bulky, and they take up a lot of space. VZ-1 HD was designed to free up desktop space for all the other stuff that matters. With its vertical design and special multi-jointed swing arm, you'll have the highest camera position taking up the least amount of space. We've spent a lot of time designing VZ-1 HD, and we feel it'll be the best document camera you've ever used.
Real-Time Image Changes at the Touch of a Button
Intuitive, on-the-fly image adjustments are right at your fingertips.
Exposure toggle and built-in LED switch
In combination, these will deliver a well-lit, well-exposed image under all kinds of situations. Automatic exposure often works best, but consider lowering or increasing exposure in select situations — like capturing an iPad — to avoid a dull or washed-out image.
Autofocus switch
VZ-1HD can be set to one of two focus modes depending on your needs:
- Continuous - VZ-1 HD automatically and continually determines the best focus. This is "set it and forget it" focus; move the subject around, and it will continue to stay in sharp focus.
- Single - set the focus once, and VZ-1 HD will stay at that focus setting. This mode is ideal for times when the subject won't move (such as a static sheet of paper), and also for VZ-1 HD's higher resolutions.
Resolution selector (for VGA mode)
When directly connected to a projector or monitor, use the selector on the front of the stand to change resolution. Note that VZ-1 HD supports the DDC standard, meaning it may automatically detect the optimal resolution for your device. If your projector does not support DDC, you can manually set the resolution. 16:9 aspect ratio resolutions (1920 x 1080 and 720p) are on the left-hand side of the selector, while 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions (1024 x 768 and 800 x 600) are on the right.
HD Clarity Brings Teaching Material to Life
VZ-1 HD features a 5.0 Megapixel camera for a range of high-definition resolutions. Achieve up to 1920 x 1080 pixels with VGA or an amazing 2592 x 1944 pixels on PC or Mac. Use the highest resolution on your computer with IPEVO Presenter software, and achieve stunning close-up detail thanks to a 6x digital zoom, which is especially useful for even the smallest text. A digital zoom also gives you the freedom to keep your camera in one convenient position and still capture everything you need to capture on the document.
Projector, monitor, PC or Mac — this doc cam does it all, and at a budget-friendly price. With its dual-mode versatility and combination of features, VZ-1 HD makes classroom technology effective, accessible and fun.
Macro Mode and Digital Zoom for Fine Details
Getting a close-up shot to capture fine details is easy — VZ-1 HD features a macro mode which maintains sharp focus on very close subjects up to 2 inches (5 cm) away. If you connect VZ-1 HD to a 19" screen at 1440x900 resolution, your object is displayed 7 times larger, and on a 70” screen running 1024x768 the object is displayed at an amazing 26 times its original size. Plus, with a maximum 6x digital zoom through IPEVO Presenter, you can display an object 45 times larger than actual size on a 1440x900 19" screen with acceptable-loss digital zoom. And if you're using a 1024x768 70" screen with a projector, the object can be displayed 150 times larger. With VZ-1 HD’s 5 Megapixel lens, the image is so clear that the object remains recognizable even at maximum digital zoom.
Get Even Closer with the Magnifying Lens for VZ-1 HD
Use VZ-1 HD to capture details that can't easily be seen by the naked eye and stream it for everyone to see. With the Magnifying Lens equipped, VZ-1 HD takes the macro mode (2 inches/ 5cm) even closer to nearly point-blank range at 0.77 inches (2cm). The Magnifying Lens provides a 2x zoom to your VZ-1 HD's image, and if you position the object at point-blank range, your object will be displayed 3x larger. Plus, a built-in LED light can be switched on to illuminate your subject even when it is completely covered by the camera. Add IPEVO Presenter’s 6x zoom, and you can display objects at 500 times their size on a 1024x768 70" screen. Imagine sharing live images of a seed or an insect in which 0.2 inches becomes 100 inches on the screen. Every student in the room can see and distinguish every crystal-clear detail.
