WLA632 Dual with 802.11a/n (5 GHz) & 802.11b/g/n (2.4 GHz) concurrent operation
The WLA632 Wireless LAN Access Point is a ruggedized dual-radio 3x3 MIMO access point designed for outdoor deployment in all weather conditions. As well as enabling wireless users to stay seamlessly connected as they roam from building to building, it also provides mesh services to extend wireless access in areas where Ethernet cabling cannot reach or is not desired. Point-to-point bridging is also supported, allowing the WLA632 to interconnect different sites over the air, without needing to lay or lease fiber.
It is simple to deploy, easy to manage, and supports any kind of mobility service, including data, voice, video, and location, over wireless connections. It delivers an enterprise-class feature set in a ruggedized, weatherproof enclosure suitable for extreme outdoor environments.
Features:
- Dual radio 3x3 MIMO for aggregate data rates up to 600 Mbps
- 10/100/1000 Ethernet connectivity via ruggedized 8 pin DIN connector
- Automatically calculates data integrity and RF signal strength
- Continuously tunes for optimal RF channel and transmit power
- Prioritizes delay-sensitive voice and other critical applications
- Supports many external antenna options with easy alignment
- Can serve as high-speed mesh access point, mesh portal to extend WLAN coverage
- Supports bridging to interconnect sites over wireless backhaul instead of fiber
- Optimizes RF spectrum utilization in mesh portal mode
- Configurable radios in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands
- Support for Smart Mobile intelligent switching in all mesh modes
The WLA632 has a dedicated 48 VDC power port, complies with NEMA4X and IP67 standards for corrosion resistance, and features built-in lightning and surge protection along with automatic thermal management.
Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) or SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP) can be configured to ensure optimal QoS for voice traffic. Built-in policies allow per user, protocol, or class-of-service (CoS) mapping.
The WLA632 plays a key role in rogue and intrusion detection as well as denial-of-service (DoS) attack detection. Its ActiveScan feature allows it to scan all active 802.11 bands, channels, and VLANs while simultaneously providing wireless connectivity to mobile clients. Its SentryScan feature allows the WLA632 to act as a dedicated sentry and provide non-stop scanning.
