Navimute, Amplified mute for portable navigation, With female cigarette socket
Navimute enables the use of the car speakers for Navigation
sound from a portable navigation system.
Speaker-function: When the portable navigation is sending out
voice commands the Navimute will mute the radio sound in the
front speakers and send out the Navigation sound. The rear
speaker will not be muted. When the voice command has ended
the radio sound will return.
Amplifier-function: Portable navigation systems audio amplifiers is
normally not powerfull enogh to power the car speakers. Therefore
the Navimute has a build in amplifier. This amplifies the sound signal,
coming from the portable navigation, so it can be heard at an
appropriate volume trough the car speakers.
Power supply of the Navigation unit: The Navimute is always delivered
with a ISO Power & Mute cable. In this power cable the constant
12v and the ground wire from the car radio is used to supply
the Navimute. This way power-supply, of the Navimute, is
achieved without cutting the cars wiring loom. If your car is not fitted
with ISO connector a adaptor cable from our ISO2CAR range
can be used to make the Navimute suitable for you car.
Mutewire function: When the Navimute mutewire is activated the
Navimute will move the Navigation sound from the front speaker
to the rear speakers. This allows the use of the front speaker for
phone conversation.
Charging of the Navigation unit: The Navimute has a build in
power supply that can be used for charging the navigation unit
with the supplied charging cable.
