UC-7420-LX - RISC-based Ready-to-Run Embedded Computer with IXP-422, 8 Serial Ports, Dual LANs, USB, PCMCIA, CompactFlash, Linux 2.4
The UC-7420 referred to collectively as UC-7400, are RISC-based ready-to-run embedded computers for your embedded applications. The UC-7400 embedded computers feature eight RS-232/422/485 serial ports, dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, a PCMCIA interface for wireless LAN communication, CompactFlash, and USB ports for mass storage disk expansion, making the UC-7400 ideal for your embedded applications.
The pre-installed Linux and WinCE operating systems provide open, standard software environments for your software program development. This means that software written for a desktop PC can be easily ported to the UC-7400 platform by using an open, common development tool, without needing to modify the software code. The software you develop for your own applications can be stored in the UC-7400's Flash memory. The UC-7420 can be used to build a control system with a distributed architecture, based on embedded technologies.
Robust Design for Industrial Applications
- Wall mount design for easy installation. The compact size means that the UC-7400 occupies less space, and the wall mount design gives you the freedom to place it anywhere.
- No fan, No hard disk operation. Since the UC-7400 uses an onboard flash for storage and CF for storage expansion, system failures caused by a low MTBF hard drive are avoided. And with the RISC IXP-422/425 CPU, which generates almost no heat, the UC-7400 does not need a fan to cool down the system, providing you with a more reliable system.
- Field power adaptable. The wide range 12 to 48 VDC power input design makes the UC-7400 ready for use with field 24 VDC or 48 VDC power. An optional AC power adaptor is also available for 110 to 240 VAC power inputs.
