A wide view angle is secured by employing the IPS panel
The IPS (In-Panel-Switching) panel has less changes of brightness or colour when viewed from an angled position. Since the IPS method can secure a wider view angle than the VA method, highly satisfactory operating environments can be provided under a variety of use conditions, so that this is highly appreciated by graphic professionals or in medical sites.
Brightness Feedback System
By employing the built-in colour sensor on the main unit, unstable brightness immediately after turning on the power can be compensated automatically to make it stable within several minutes. Since it is possible to set the display brightness by the unit of 1 cd/m² without any external colour sensor, you can set your desired brightness intuitively. (The value of cd/m² is an estimated value based on the adjustment result executed at the factory.) Furthermore, changes of not only the brightness but also the chromaticity due to changes with the passage of time will also be compensated, and the stability of the brightness and the chromaticity can be maintained.
Picture Mode for smooth image quality adjustments
The Picture Mode switches the monitor to the optimum display mode depending on the displayed contents, such as raw data from digital cameras and Web content. The controls make it possible to switch the detailed parameter settings of colour temperature, brightness and gamma values with four modes; Standard, sRGB, Medical and Programmable.
Individual adjustment suppressing dispersion (individuality) of the respective products
In addition to the compensation of unevenness and the gamma adjustment that are ordinarily executed for the respective panels one-by-one according to their individual panel properties, RGB data of the respective panels are precisely measured at the factory and recorded for the respective products of LCD2490WUXi2. Since the ICC profile is provided in accordance with the data for managing colours when using Mac OS, accurate colour reproduction can be materialized by suppressing dispersion (individuality) on the respective products.
