PHT-3600 SkiveTek P4 cooler
The Nexus PHT-3600 SkiveTek® is a light weight, full-aluminum, SkiveTek® technology heat sink equipped with a fan with 2400 RPM and a noise production of only 19 dB(A).
The patented V-shaped fins on the Nexus PHT-3600 SkiveTek® optimize the airflow and prevent air obstruction. This results in a stable RPM level and an extremely low noise operation.
Features:
This heat sink is produced using SkiveTek technology to achieve the best possible cooling. The SkiveTek base is bent around a copper core to create the Radial effect and to optimize dissipation surface.
What is the SkiveTek®?
SkiveTek® is one of the worlds most advanced technologies. This concept permits the production of heat sinks with a precise and super fine detail previously considered impossible. SkiveTek® represents a process of shaping materials to produce lightweight, high fin density thermal solutions. Base plate and fins are constructed out of one piece of pure aluminum or copper by cutting the material in thin layers, bending the fins in place. No bonding, welding, soldering or adhesive is involved; the joint between fin and base is continuous aluminum or copper.
SkiveTek®- ultimate heat conductivity!
Suitable for Socket 478, up to P4 3.2 GHz and Celeron processor.
For processors below 3.06 Ghz:
When using the Nexus PHT-3600 SkiveTek with Intel Pentium processors with a speed lower than 3.06 GHz you can use a Noise Reduction Cable (Nexus NRC-1000) in combination with the PHT-3600. This noise reduction cable brings the fan voltage down from 12 Volt to 10 Volt and consequentially brings the fan speed down. The standard fan speed of the fan equipped is 2400 RPM (+- 10%) when using the noise reduction cable the fan speed is lowered to 1930 RPM (+- 10%).
This lower RPM level results in an ever lower noise production!
The fan on the PHT-3600 is a real silent fan, which measures only 19 dB(A) and a high airflow level of 21.1 CFM
