The HDC-SX5 can record Hull-HD video with 1920 x 1080 pixels motion images onto both SDHC/SD Memory Cards and DVD discs. The ability to use both SDHC/SD Memory Cards and DVD discs is a big advantage in full-HD recording, where there is such a max. 4 hours of data to store. This double-media system also makes it possible to copy a recording from the SDHC/SD Memory Card to a DVD disc with one-touch.
Advanced O.I.S. is a new image stabilizing function that achieves around eight times higher precision than our previous system. Advanced O.I.S. enables finer, more effective hand-shake compensation. The more advanced 3CCD system uses three distinct CCDs for processing, so there is absolutely no light loss. The 3CCD camera system draws out the full potential of full-HD image quality.
Leica Dicomar lens is developed specifically for full-HD digital camcorders, this lens system is made using a multi-coating process that prevents light reflection and glare, which can make colours bleed and images appear washed out. Using just the SX5 itself, you can copy video clips from an SD Memory Card to a DVD disc. Pressing a single button is all it takes. You don't need to use a PC or any other equipment. Full-HD video clips can be easily edited with the software** provided or copied onto a DVD disc.
