The LUMIX cameras also feature two correction modes to meet different shooting needs. 'Mode 1' continuously compensates for jitter. In this mode image stabilisation is constantly on, and helps you to compose shots in the LCD monitor. 'Mode 2', a Panasonic original, corrects the image the moment the shutter button is pressed, providing maximum compensation in all directions. Since the light is received near the centre of the lens, this mode gives you clearer, sharper pictures and higher resolution.
