Immersive surround sound for any TV
Designed to deliver immersive surround sound, the Philips soundbar speaker HTL7140B uses the latest patented Ambisound technology, 5.1 channel sound with 320 W total output and precision angled drivers to create sound far larger than itself.
Ambisound technology for true surround sound experience
Ambisound technology produces truly embracing multi-channel surround sound from a sleek soundbar. It delivers an immersive 5.1 sound experience without the constraints of sitting position, room shape or size, and without the clutter of multiple speakers and cables. Through the combined effect of psychoacoustic phenomena, array processing and precisely angled driver positioning, Ambisound delivers truly immersive and wider sound effects.
5.1 Multi-channel for true immersive surround sound
HTL7140B is a 5.1 multi-channel to deliver truly immersive sound effect. Most modern soundbars have 2.1 channels, yet the HTL7140B is equipped with 5.1 channels and 6 built-in amplifiers to deliver great sound quality. The 5.1 system use the same speaker channels and configuration, with a front left channel, a front right channel and a centre channel, two surround sound channels and a subwoofer. It supports Dolby digital pro-logic 2.
Dedicated centre channel for true voice clarity
Most soundbars on the market have 2.1 channels. The centre channel is included within the 2.1 channels, meaning that voices are not clear. HTL7140B has 2 dedicated drivers with their own amplifiers and carry differently processed sound signals. Carefully processing the sound in this way creates a wider soundstage than when the drivers carry the same sound and the soundstage becomes larger than the length of the soundbar. Users can easily follow TV programmes and movies.
HDMI 4K2K pass-through for ultra HD content enjoyment
HDMI 4K2K incorporates the HDMI 1.4 standard. This adds support for ultra-high definition (UHD) video content. Presently this refers to 4K, which at its largest is 4096 pixels wide by 2160 pixels high or four times the size of a standard 1080p HD display. The term also covers a slightly lower 4K resolution of 3840 pixels wide by 2160 pixels high. Both formats are supported through HDMI 1.4. 4K displays put high-end home cinema systems in the same sphere as commercial cinemas. To make the HTL7140B future-resistant, this standard has been integrated for the growth of 4K TV.
Dolby Digital and DTS for great surround sound
Go digital and get the most out of your music and movies. Even stereo music sounds great because Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround enhance digital music and videos, pumping it up so you get truly immersive surround sound out of your home cinema speaker.
Precisely angled drivers positioned for wider sound effect
The tweeters are angled at 45 degrees and send high frequencies sideward, enlarging the soundstage. The combination of the front positioned drivers, the angled tweeters, the proprietary processing and the acoustics creates Ambisound, which delivers a wider sound effect.
