Europe's first all-in-one DVD AV headunit, the AVIC-X1 is a stunning example of Pioneer's dedication to their philosophy of integration and versatility. The AVIC-X1 provides users maximum flexibility and performance encompassing all aspects of mobile navigation and entertainment - all from a 1-DIN unit. This state-of-the-art DVD navigation and audio / video entertainment system provides full dual zone capability, as well as playback of DVD-Video, single CD, MP3 CD and AM / FM radio, all with maximum power and sound performance.
The AVIC-X1's built-in navigation unit offers users precise, easy-to-use searching, routeing and guidance capability. The 2004 DVD Map Disc includes over 6 million kilometres of roads across Europe, more than 1.3 million POIs and highly detailed maps of 10 European cities. Drivers can choose from up to 7 enhanced navigation modes that can be displayed on-screen, including Pioneer's Driver 's View mode, 2 new split-screen modes and the exciting Vehicle Dynamics mode. Memory Navi is an industry-first mapping technology that loads the routeing data into the unit's 64 MB memory, so that the DVD slot can be used for CD / MP3 or DVD-Video playback during navigation.
This means complete in-car entertainment for the passengers and navigation for the driver, simultaneously from one single drive. All AV and navigation control is carried out by using the touch panel display, which has extremely fast response rates and a wide viewing angle.
