The new 1.5x View Scan with Audio function proves to be a very convenient feature, allowing you to scan the contents of a Blu-ray Disc, while the audio is still understandable. This makes it a breeze to locate the part of the program you were looking for.
Wi-Fi Direct allows you to stream your favourite music and videos from your mobile device directly to the system – without needing a wireless router. When Wi-Fi Direct is enabled, you can activate Miracast – via a direct button on the remote – to mirror any content from your smartphone, tablet or PC. Use DLNA to select, stream and play videos and music stored on a compatible computer, media server, or mobile device.
Last, but not least, the user friendly iControlAV5 app allows you to control the BDP-170 directly from your smartphone. It is freely available from the App Store or via Google Play.
