1 Port, Airborne Industrial Wireless Serial Device Server
For industrial grade, 802.11 wireless serial to ethernet converters and wireless Ethernet bridge adapters, Quatech's Airborne product family is the industry leader.
Airborne is a family of fully integrated 802.11b/g wireless LAN bridge and serial device server products designed specifically to provide wireless LAN and Internet connectivity to industrial, scientific, medical and automotive applications. The highly integrated hardware and software enables plug-and-play capability. This significantly reduces the complexity of wireless system deployment and network connectivity.
The family's industrial grade design (including extended operating temperatures) gives Airborne the reliability and performance demanded in enterprise applications. Other convenient features include compact form factor, low power consumption and advanced security including 802.11i-PSK, AES (FIPS-197), WPA2 Enterprise, WPA (TKIP), 802.1x/RADIUS and EAP support with certificates. The industrial unit includes a variable voltage power input supply (5-36 VDC) with terminal block connections packaged in a ruggedized metal box.
The Airborne Wireless Device Server creates a connection between an 802.11b/g wireless LAN and a device with a serial port. The device server transparently conveys data between the device with RS-232 or RS-422/485 interface and a wireless LAN. This enables remote device monitoring and management via the LAN or Internet. The Airborne Industrial Wireless Device Servers are available in a single or dual RS-232/422/485 port configuration.
PortFlex is a unique capability included with all modules that allows Airborne wireless serial device server users to configure communication ports easily so that data can be accessed to and from any of the available ports without having to change the device configuration. Airborne PortFlex supports UART, Ethernet and 802.11 interfaces.
Also included is the latest Airborne SpeedLink roaming feature. This enables mobile devices on a wireless network to roam quickly and freely without losing important data, ensuring high level connection reliability. Whether you are walking around a hospital or driving through a warehouse, SpeedLink ensures you stay connected.
