The GT1660-WSB3 is the newest solution to this problem. It has USB 3.0, eSATA and FireWire 800.

Thanks the SATA III 6 Gbit/s and UASP supporting the GT1660-WSB3 is the idealdevice for multi-media data as there are usually large data have to be transferred very fast and cool. And it is so cool, it doesn’t need a fan.

As it dissipates the process heat to the outside employing the metal case which is built like a heat exchanger.

GT1660-WSB3 is also working through an USB 3.0 cable or USB 2.0 cable with computer/notebook with USB 2.0/1.1 interfaces.

USB 3.0 has a 10 times higher bandwidth as USB 2.0 (5 Gbit/s to 480 Mbit/s) and theoretically 10 times higher transfer rate. In practice, the transfer rate is limited by the slower SATA interface of the hard drive (3 Gbit/s).
