The RT-09 is more than just an Internet tuner. Along with FM and DAB it is a digital gateway to all that streaming media has to offer. In addition a front panel USB input is provided for direct digital connection of an iPod or other USB class 2 devices. All digital sources bypass their typically inexpensive analog output stages in favor of the RT-09’s highly regarded Wolfson 24 bit/192kHz DAC and highend analog stage. Together, these features ensure that the listening options are virtually limitless and any music source is reproduced to the highest quality possible.
At present there are over 15,000 Internet radio stations available and in order to keep favorite stations handy, the RT-09 includes 30 programmable presets for instantaneous access to FM, DAB and Internet broadcasts. The RT-09 also streams music files from a PC using Windows Media Player 11 or 12 over a Wi-Fi or wired LAN Ethernet connection, and can be controlled via bi-directional RS-232, as well as discrete IR.
