A Compact Design for Shooting on the Move
With a body measuring 90 x 112.6 x 54.5 mm and weighing just 268 g, the compact Xacti HD1010 is easy to carry anywhere. Now you can take stunning full-HD videos any time you like. The HD1010 sports a well balanced, vertically oriented design that fits comfortably in one hand, so you can enjoy long shooting sessions without tiring your wrist.
Full High-Definition Video Recording
The Xacti HD1010 adopts the MPEG-4 AVC/H264 format for high-compression recording. The resulting files are small in size, yet offer picture quality as good as, or better than, DVD (MPEG-2). A new high-speed shooting mode captures up to 300 fields per second, enabling smooth and detailed slow-motion playback. And to help keep your images steady, the HD1010 uses a digital image stabilizer to eliminate the effects of unwanted shaking.
Still Images with Beautiful Contrast
More than just a movie-shooter, the dual-function Xacti HD1010 also captures still images with ease. An original algorithm employs a pixel-interpolation filter to convert the 4 megapixels captured by the CMOS to the recorded equivalent of 8 megapixels. Another proprietary Sanyo technology creates a wide dynamic range for stills, so that both dark and light areas can be captured at optimal exposure levels.
