The Sharkoon Premium Laser Mouse's powerful laser module gives it a high 1,600 dpi resolution so that it registers each movement with absolute precision. The Premium Laser Mouse can easily handle use on different smooth surfaces such as metal or polished wood. Six slide pads made from a special low-friction synthetic material guarantee that it glides smoothly without catching or sticking on the surface underneath. Its ergonomic shape fits well into the contours of the palm, and the black and silver design give it a sleek, modern look.
In addition to the two standard buttons and a precision scroll wheel, the Sharkoon Premium Laser Mouse is also equipped with three thumb buttons on its left side: two internet navigation buttons for conveniently surfing backward and forward and an individually programmable multi-function button for practical direct access to the most often used applications and MS Office commands.
The Office button saves users, who wish to open Office applications, the indirect route over the start menu or having to set up excessive desktop shortcuts: one click opens a menu from which users can directly start any of the eight applications: Excel®, PowerPoint®, Word, Internet Explorer®, Outlook®, My Computer, My Documents, and the sound control menu. While working in the Office applications Excel®, PowerPoint®, and Word, the button calls up a direct selection of the eight most common file commands. Which functions are shown can be reset using the included software: the user can select either form the default functions, modify these if needed, or, with the help of the appropriate shortcut, assign new functions.
