Docking for Your Desk
The concept of our popular QuickPorts no longer needs explanation. The Sharkoon docking stations allow quick and easy connection of SATA hard drives or SSDs to your computer. Insert the drive, turn the QuickPort on, finished. Ejecting is just as simple: turn the QuickPort off and remove the drive. It is that simple. Only the number of drives and connection types varies for the different models. With the Sharkoon SATA QuickPort USB 3.1 Type C, we expand the QuickPort family with our fastest model ever with USB 3.1 support.
Simply Nice, Nicely Simple
The design of the Sharkoon SATA QuickPort has been optimized over the years, but its functional principle remains the same. Insert the hard drives or SSD from above into the slot. If no hard drive is inserted, a spring-loaded flap protects the inside from dust and dirt. A status LED on the front indicates operation and data transfer. On the back, it is simple and self-explanatory: There is an inlet for the power adapter, a USB 3.1 Type C port and an on/off switch. The power adapter and a USB 3.1 cable (Type A plug to Type C plug) are included. In addition, installation is uncomplicated. Your operating system recognizes the SATA QuickPort USB 3.1 Type C without having to install a driver.
Simply Faster with USB 3.1
Naturally, the SATA QuickPort USB 3.1 Type C supports the USB 3.1 standard with a data transfer rate of up to 10 gigabits per second. It is also backwards compatible to USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. Additionally, the QuickPort has SATA Revision 3.0 support and is backwards compatible to previous SATA Revisions.
