LC-40LE830E, 101.6 cm (40 ") LCD, 1920x1080, 200Hz, NTSC, PAL, SECAM, USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4, black
Watch the latest blockbuster movie in 3D, chat via Skype with your best friend in Canada or plan your next visit there online – now you can all do this with a single appliance. The televisions from the new Sharp AQUOS LE830E series can not only do everything that modern LCD TV sets can do, they offer a host of other new practical features as well.
“Outstanding image quality and excellent design, combined with the lowest possible energy consumption - this is our most important objective when we further the development of a product,” says Herman Karabetyan, director of sales and marketing for entertainment and domestic appliances at Sharp Electronics Germany/Austria. “Our aim is to continually develop innovative technologies, incorporate these technological advantages into our products and then offer our customers even more in the form of additional new functions. The AQUOS LE830E series is the best example of this: Its Quattron technology combines low energy consumption with excellent images. And it has that certain extra something – optional Skype functions, AQUOS NET+ and internet access.”
A fusion of technology and design
Sharp’s own AQUOS NET+ gives viewers access to a huge number of different widgets, currently almost 70, such as the video-on-demand platform Viewster. During ad breaks, you can read your e-mails or check the latest TV listings – you can even access and surf the free internet.
The new AQUOS 830 series televisions feature a full HD high-speed LCD panel that comes in a range of sizes: 40, 46, 52 and 60 inches (102, 117, 132 and 152 centimeters). It’s visually very appealing due to its slimline design with a frame that’s only 2.5 centimeters wide. Thanks to its improved Quattron technology with an outstanding color regulation system, the televisions produce super-sharp images and natural colors in 2D and 3D alike, and a pair of 3D glasses is delivered with each set. The Quattron name stands for the new four-color pixel structure of the latest LCD panels from Sharp, where yellow has been added as a fourth color to the existing RGB pixel spectrum (RGB+Y). The pixels’ lighter yellow component means that the LCD panel can let more light shine through, which in turn significantly lowers the appliances’ energy consumption. This improved energy efficiency rating has led to all AQUOS LE830E series appliances receiving an A label in the EU’s new energy ratings system.
Each television has a triple tuner and can therefore receive satellite, cable and aerial signals, which does away with the need to have a separate set-top box for each signal type.
Hotels, restaurants and bars in particular can benefit from the appliances’ USB cloning options: All TV settings can be saved on a USB stick and then transferred to all similar models. This means that several televisions can be given the same settings in a very simple, time-saving way.
