The 18V Skil 2831 cordless drill meets all your heavy DIY needs for drilling into wood and metal and for tough screwdriving jobs. Two mechanical speeds are on-board for versatile use, and the battery can be fully charged in one hour by the fast charger with cradle function! Other handy features such as variable-speed control with electronic brake, a keyless chuck with automatic spindle lock and the LED spotlight provide extra working convenience. This cordless drill is supplied in a sturdy carrying case with a double-ended screwdriver bit.
Two mechanical speeds provide versatility for every job
The two mechanical speeds deliver versatility. The setting ‘High speed’ delivers high speed for drilling and the setting ‘Low speed’ delivers high torque for tough screwdriving (large screws for example). With this on-board you’re assured of a matching solution for every job.
‘ECP’ (electronic cell protection) protected Lithium-Ion technology
This tool offers Lithium-Ion battery technology. This means no memory effect, no self-discharge and always ready for use! No memory effect means you can recharge the battery at any time without reducing the effective battery capacity. Lithium-Ion also prevents self-discharge when the tool is not in use. The battery won’t be empty after a long period on the shelf. ‘ECP’ prevents the Lithium-Ion battery from overloading, overheating and deep discharge. In any of these cases the tool is automatically shut down. The danger of overloading, overheating and deep discharge is a shortened battery life or a broken battery. ‘ECP’ protects against these dangers and assures an optimized lifetime of the battery.
