ISDN Broadband Router The ISDN Barricade continues the award-winning Barricade Broadband router range with the addition of a built-in ISDN TA. The SMC7301TA ISDN Barricade Broadband Router is a small desktop router that sits between your local Ethernet network and a remote network (the Internet or a remote office). The SMC7301TA contains an ISDN router, a 10-Mbps WAN port, a 10/100-Mbps LAN port, and a console port for management capability. Data comes into the SMC7301TA from the LAN and then is "routed" to the remote network, and vice versa. In addition to its capability to route IP traffic, the SMC7301TA also acts as a bridge for other network protocols, such as Appletalk or SNA. The main functions of the SMC7301TA are to support devices on your network to access the Internet, to support remote users to dial-in and access resources on your LAN, and to support communications among branch offices.
