10/100BASE-TX to 100BASE-FX (SMF, SC) Media Converter The SMCFSSC media converter is a compact, costeffective and feature-packed solution for expanding an existing Ethernet/Fast Ethernet network. For total reliability the converter boasts enhanced features such as remote and local loop back testing, autonegotiation, and link fault sign-aling, It also features seven DIP switches for manual activation of the enhanced features. This gives the SMCFSSC the ability to be quickly integrated into a network configuration. Its compact modular design facilitates deployment in a narrow desktop location or wall-mount to save space. Several converters can be simultaneously installed by using the SMC-12MCC 19" rack-mount chassis.
