TigerAccess XENPAK 10G Transceiver The SMC10GXEN-T transceiver is SMC’s first product for 10G over Cat-5e cable. This revolution in 10G Ethernet will enable ultra high speed connections between switches or server links at a fraction of the cost of using fiber. The proprietary technology used in this product gives network managers a viable alternative to using fiber over short distances. The cables required to connect the XENPAK’s are common Cat-e5 that is used in today’s networks for 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet over Copper.
