SMC TigerSwitch XENPAK Module Internal 10Gbit/s network switch component

TigerSwitch™ 1-slot XENPAK Module The SMC8700GXP10 is a single port XENPAK module which enables the SMC8724M and SMC8748M to have 10G uplinks. This module supports SR, LR or ER standard XENPAK transceivers. 10G network connections are becoming nessesary to give uplink options for gigabit edge switch and this module provides that connection. When connected to stacked switches the 10G modules can be grouped together into an aggregation to enable even higher bandwidth back to the core of a network.

NOTE: To support this module the switches must be running v3.0.0.3 software or later.
