DHG Cir. Polarizing Filter 72mm A SOLIGOR double-sided DHG-coated Polarizing Filter eliminates reflections on non-metallic surfaces such as windows, eyeglasses or water and intensifies the colours of your subjects. Additionally the Polarizing Filter avoids blue haze and loss of brilliance caused by UV rays. It is a construction of high performing optical glass coated on both sides in a sturdy extra slim rotatable metal frame.

The SOLIGOR DHG-coated Filters are optimised especially for digital high- and super high-resolution cameras. The digital camera's image sensor reflects light much more than a film in an analog camera. In order for the reflected light to leave the optical system lineally, lenses and filters with best possible coating of all glass and air surfaces are essential. Otherwise diffused light reduces the image contrast and sharpness.

In front of a camera lens has to be screwed on a SOLIGOR double-sided Digital High Grade (DHG) –coated filter! This guarantees best possible image results as the rest reflection of DHG filters is reduced to less than 0.5%. For the same reason the glass edges of the filters are blacked and the metal mount has a reflection-free black matt finish. The mount is especially narrow to prevent vignetting (shading at edges) when using wide-angle focal length. The mount is, depending on the diameter, only 3 to 6 mm thick, still it features a front thread to attach further accessories such as a lens hood or a lens cover.
