Extremely compact Megapixel MiniDV Handycam® with Memory Stick Duo™ slot, Handycam station, Carl Zeiss® lens, Touch Screen LCD and true 16:9 widescreen recording mode
The DCR-HC44E is a 1.07 Megapixel Compact DV camcorder with a 2.7-inch Wide Hybrid LCD monitor. The 1.07 Megapixel CCD is ideal for the clear and precise image capture demanded by such a wide format, as well as providing for 1 Megapixel still image capture. A Wide Select button is situated on the monitor frame, offering a quick and easy way to change the video mode from 4:3 and ensuring that the DCR-HC44E is always ready to shoot and playback in True 16:9. Additionally the LCD display has a special Hybrid coating that ensures that a bright, clear picture can be viewed anywhere, even at high contrast locations such as the beach or in the snow. The Handycam Station is a powered cradle that features an i.LINK™ connection for digital video editing on a PC or to copy footage to a DVD recorder, as well as USB for Web streaming purposes. Audio Video is also featured for playing back movies or still images on a TV. Throughout connection, the camcorder’s InfoLithium battery is powering up, ensuring that the Handycam is charged and ready to be picked up and used at any time.
