The Tandberg Data DPS2040™ is a flexible, high performance, affordable disk system that provides simple file sharing, consolidated iSCSI storage, and data protection for SMBs in a compact desktop unit. The DPS2040 installs quickly and provides cross-platform network storage for safe, effective storing, sharing, and protecting of business-critical data for small to medium businesses, departments, and distributed enterprises.
Flexible Storage Management
The Tandberg Data DPS2040™ provides users with the ability to extend storage and share data on a single cost-effective platform. Because of its versatility, the DPS2040 can be configured as a file server or an iSCSI target server, providing simultaneous file-level access and block-level storage for maximum disk utilization. File-level volumes can be used for file sharing, D2D backup, and IP video capture.
Sharing your files has never been easier because the DPS2040 provides the ideal platform for simple consolidated business-grade file sharing across Windows, Macintosh, or Unix/Linux systems. Manage user quotas, accounts, and groups via the integrated web console or through simple active directory integration for maximum security.
The DPS2040 provides a simple and flexible way to add storage to a server. Each DPS2040 can create up to 8 unique iSCSI targets allowing users to extend local server storage without system disruption.
Business-Use Design
The advanced RAID configuration of the DPS2040 allows users to increase capacity through physical HDD migration. During the HDD swap, all data residing on the legacy hard drive is seamlessly migrated to the newly installed drive without server downtime. In addition, the virtual appliance stacking feature enables multiple DPS2040 units to be stacked for increased volume.
