For those looking for the clarity and articulation of the Revolution DC6 and have the space for a floorstanding loudspeaker, the Revolution DC6T delivers a dynamic, full-range performance. Based on the same high specification 150 mm (6.00”) Dual Concentric driver, the Revolution DC6T adds a matching 150mm (6.00”) bass driver and integrates these into a near 30litre trapezium shaped rear-ported cabinet with custom crossover.
The larger cabinet with its unique shape helps to reduce colouration by minimising internal reflections and standing waves caused by paralleled sides. This is particularly important on the long, uninterrupted side-walls of a floorstanding loudspeaker. Constructed of heavy gauge particle board with a substantial 18mm fibreboard front baffle and extensively braced throughout, the Revolution DC6T draws heavily on Tannoy’s six decades of experience designing floorstanding loudspeakers.
Each cabinet is offered in Dark Espresso real wood veneer, hand finished to the same exacting standards expected of bespoke cabinetry. Magnetic grille mounts are installed below the veneer to ensure a graceful and uncluttered appearance on the front baffle and the stylish brushed metal trims are mounted with concealed fixings to further enhance the smooth appearance. The result is Tannoy’s most affordable full-range Dual Concentric floorstanding loudspeaker, equally at home with high fidelity audio of high definition movie entertainment.
