The RS120wu HSDPA / UMTS GUI router is, thanks to its integrated HSUPA/HSDPA- (7.2/5.76 Mbps) UMTS ( 3G ) modem, particularly well-suited to mobile solutions and anywhere DSL is not available or high availability is required.

The bintec RS120wu is a HSDPA GUI router and, thanks to its comprehensive equipment, it is also a flexible 3G router. The integrated UMTS 3G modem with HSUPA, HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS and GSM support can be used as a primary internet connection or as a backup gateway.

The configuration of the comprehensive IPSec implementation can be done over a wizard based interface or over a web interface.

Load Balancing/Backup

The 3G / HSDPA business gateway offers a unique level of flexibility thanks to the wide variety of interfaces supported. The bintec RS 120wu 3G / HSDPA gui gateway supports the ability to configure two interfaces as WAN interfaces. As a result, there is not only more bandwidth available, but there is the opportunity to spread data traffic across individual WAN connections according to load or data type. Equally, you can use a UMTS ( 3G ) connection for the VPN connection to the head office and use a second WAN port for a low-cost ADSL connection to guarantee the company's other data traffic. If either connection fails, the other can take over the entire data transfer.

Simple configuration and maintenance via web based interface

The RS120wu router is configured over an advanced graphical user interface (GUI). The GUI is a web-based user interface surface that you can use from any PC with an up-to-date Web browser connection via HTTP or encrypted HTTPS. All standard functions can be configured easily via the wizard interface which is integrated into the RS120wu router’s advanced web interface. . DIME Manager from Teldat is a free tool for managing Teldat devices. This Dime Manager is aimed at administrators who manage networks with up to 50 devices. The software simplifies the management and configuration of Teldat routers or access points either individually or in logical groups.

When Teldat developed the DIME Manager, simple and efficient operation was the primary aim. It allows, for example, software updates or configurations to be applied to individual devices or groups of devices simply by drag and drop. DIME Manager recognises and manages new devices in the network using SNMP multicasts, in other words independent of their current IP address.
