ADmitMac 5.0 Mac
ADmitMac is designed to allow Macintosh systems to function as a fully compliant Windows Active Directory client. ADmitMac is developed to allow single sign-on access to files and printers in multi-user, multi-computer environments with administrator-defined security.
New to ADmitMac version 5
- Snow Leopard Support - Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) is supported by ADmitMac version 5. This new version also works with Leopard (10.5).
- Windows Group Policy Support - Windows administrators can now manage Macintosh operating system components and applications in Active Directory. Using Windows Group Policy and ADmitMac’s new ADM plugins, Macintosh settings are now available in the Group Policy Management console. Administrators can manage their domain users in a consistent way – regardless of whether they use a PC or a Mac. And ADmitMac requires no Active Directory schema changes.
- 64-bit Support - ADmitMac has been enhanced with 64-bit support and operates in multi-thread, multi-processor environment under Snow Leopard.
Additional Unique Capabilities
- DFS - The only Macintosh Active Directory client to support Microsoft’s Distributed File System (DFS).
- Network Home Folder support - And, since ADmitMac supports Microsoft’s Distributed File System (DFS), files and home directories can reside on any authorized, accessible network volume.
- Security - ADmitMac works with domains configured using Microsoft’s Highly Secure (HISEC) security templates. No need to downgrade your server security to allow Macintosh systems running ADmitMac on the network.

- Workgroup Manager - Still supports Apple Workgroup Manger for client management for installations using that approach to manage their Macs.
- AFP Shares - ADmitMac installed on a Macintosh server will allow ADmitMac users to access AFP shares using their domain account.
