80GB Serial ATA II, 8MB, 6.35 cm (2.5 ") Toshiba introduces the MK8034GSX 2.5-inch 80GB Hard Disk Drive. The MK8034GSX offers the industries highest areal density per platter, at 91.2 gigabits per square inch.

This new drive offers enough capacity for portable video recording and editing, with lower power consumption compared to the traditional 3.5-inch HDDs. This functionality provides ideal storage for a range of commercial and consumer notebooks, as well as non-PC applications such as PDAs, printers, copiers, GPS systems and MP3 players. The MK8034GSX incorporates the Serial ATA (SATA) I interface and is ATA-7 compliant, supporting high transfer rates of up to 150 megabytes per second.
