TNIMS – Trapeze Networks Introduction to the Mobility System, 1 day
This is a one day basic training course on the Trapeze Networks Mobility System. The
course is designed to introduce technical engineers to the process and management
interfaces for configuring wireless services on the Trapeze Networks Mobility System.
This course does not grant Trapeze technical certification status.
The course describes a framework for planning the deployment of a Mobility System
installation, describes how to make the MXs (switches) manageable from the RingMaster
console, then goes on to describe system and service configuration using the RingMaster
SW. The service described is a secure enterprise-grade employee service using 802.1X
authentication. The course is largely practical giving student’s maximum hands-on
configuration practice with the Mobility System.
Pre-requisites:
- An understanding of TCP/IP networking (e.g. from the TNINT course)
- An understanding of 802.11 WLAN concepts (e.g. from the TNIWL course)
- Familiarity with AAA concepts and RADIUS
Course Outline:
- Introduction to Trapeze networks and the Mobility System
- Mobility System Project Planning
- Planning RF coverage with RingMaster
- Installing and configuring Trapeze Networks MXs
- Configuring services on a Trapeze Networks infrastructure
- Troubleshooting wireless connectivity
