Velbon DF-40 tripod is a made from fine aluminium alloy and finished black with anti-corrosive emulsion. With strong body construction, the legs can hold a load up to 2 kg. The legs of Velbon DF-40 tripod have quick side-lever leg locks to make safe the camera from unintentionally falling down. The legs are linked with the centre column through the brace arms, which make it more stable. The leg tip has spiked feet which enables the tripod for outdoor surfaces.

The head is 2-way, enabling the users to point their camera at the preferred focusing point. The head also incorporate a panhandle for soft and fine movement of the head.
