The CS-1300 ceiling speakers feature a two-way design offers a full-bandwidth delivery full of control and clarity. The main driver is a 6.5″ polypropylene cone, complimented by a ferro-fluid cooled silk tweeter set in a swivel mount for fine tuning of the stereoscopic image. These low impedance speakers don’t sacrifice frequency range in the way that the transformer on 100/70v speakers inherently do, meaning lower bass extension and higher treble without distortion. These speakers are a perfect alternative for situations where wall speakers are not appropriate.
High Sound Pressure Levels
When ceiling speakers mount into plenum space the ceiling acts as an infinite baffle. The net result is it’s harder to use the volume of air behind the speaker to reinforce the sound coming out the front - which is what a bass reflex does in traditional chassis speakers. Because of this ceiling speakers inherently lack power at the bottom end, so we’ve tuned these to have a slightly louder sensitivity of 89dB to punch through high-noise environments.
Simple to fit
Simple to mount into false ceiling tiles, the CS-1300 is the audio contractor’s ultimate product for ease of installation. Get a 210mm hole-saw (such as a Starrett STRHS210 with an arbor), drill a hole, and fit the speaker! It’s clean and easy.
Tune to the environment
The passive crossover provides the new CS1300 with superb off-axis dispersion characteristics, and the contemporary grille design makes the finished installation less intrusive than others in its class. Best of all the CS-1300 has been tuned to compliment all the Vision amplifiers.
Fully revised circuitry makes it the most robust amplifier in its class. This workhorse will deliver up to 25 watts (RMS @ 8ohms) of power and works faultlessly in any environment: corporate, education and training, or worship. It offers 4 x stereo inputs on the rear panel, with another two microphone inputs on the front panel for voice reinforcement. Simply plug in your iPod, laptop, CD player - or any kind of device you need to amplify.
Everything Included
The AV-1301 comes with speaker cable plus “minijack to 2-phono” and “2-phono to 2-phono” patch cables which allow you to connect everything straight out of the box. A simple front panel design means low-tech end users will easily understand how to get their audio going. Just turn it on and turn it up.
Professional Sound
Able to drive any low-impedance speakers used for audio-visual installations, the AV-1301 is optimized for use with our SP-1300 wall speakers or our CS-1300 ceiling speakers to deliver a flat frequency response with super-low noise. This ensures natural sound and means your audience will hear you properly and with perfect clarity. The AV-1301 can drive two pairs of speakers (4ohms) if necessary, but for optimum performance we recommend just using one pair.
Secure
We understand that some training environments suffer from theft, and so the AV-1301 has an integrated lock anchor point. Just attach a Kensington security tether to add an extra level of visual and physical security. Power input is via common figure-8 cables, and the fuse is user-serviceable.
Applications
Suited to a wide range of applications, we recommend using the AV-1301 with speakers up to 100w power handling. The amplifier is optimised to work with a pair of speakers wired parallel, or you can choose to wire two pairs of speakers in serial. The maximum room size depends on the reverberant qualities of the room, and the program material you want to play through the amplifier. As a rule of thumb we recommend the maximum room size is 8 x 6m.
