The rounded or angular oblong blocks provide a perfectly safe place for resting all kinds of cutlery. Placed to the right of the plate, knife rests can be used for resting knives, forks or spoons in between meals. This frees up space on the plate and prevents soiling the table or tablecloth. So what is the correct way to use a knife rest? Simply place the end of the piece of cutlery on the rest so that the handle is lying on the table. If clean cutlery is provided with every course, knife rests can also take on the role of decorative table accessory. Thanks to their puristic design, they can be combined with any type of tableware. Since they are made from rust-free, polished Cromargan®, simply place the WMF knife rests in the dishwasher after use.
With Tavola, designer Frauke Beck has created smart WMF table accessories that are sure to be the highlight of any dining/living room. All items are made from polished Cromargan® 18/10 rust-free stainless steel and add a certain je ne sais quoi to any table. Place the serviette rings and knife rests alongside the underplates, add the candlesticks and arrange some flowers in the vase. The champagne and wine cooler can either take centre stage or play a supporting role on the serving trolley. The soft, flowing designs are perfectly coordinated and can also be used as individual eye-catchers. They work well in harmony with both modern porcelain series and classic tableware collections.
