The KiSS 1600 will upscale standard definition DVDs to 720p or 1080i resolution to provide a high definition entertainment experience using the HDMI connection.

Moreover, the KiSS 1600 DVD and media player is designed to harness the power of the Internet. Users can access the unique Internet connectivity capabilities of the Linksys online service (for example, applications and services such as Internet radio stations, online gaming, etc.).

The KiSS 1600 is compatible with many media formats (so you can, for example, access your favourite movies, music, picture slideshows, games directly from your TV). Watch Windows Media 9, and Nero Digital files in standard definition or high definition, and enjoy your collection of movies, music and pictures from DVDs, CDs, USB and the network. We have even included an extra software pack so that you can encode, play and burn Nero Digital.

Free upgrades
The KiSS 1600 is fully upgradeable (so that you can immediately install all of the new features and enhancements). You can upgrade to latest version of the KiSS 1600 firmware directly from the Internet or download the firmware and manually install the upgrade from the CD.
