Nuremberg, 2 September 2011: Grundig presents its wide range of Smart-Inter@ctive-TVs for first time at the IFA 2011. In Grundig’s “Fine Arts” and “Vision 8 Sports-TVs” LED-TV range from screen sizes of 32 up to 55 inches there are a multitude of online services already integrated for comfortable and direct access to the internet. Thanks to the selected free of charge application (Apps) information on the topics of health and lifestyle as well as current news can be quickly and comfortably obtained via Grundig Smart-Inter@ctive-TVs. These are accessible via TV for the first time. Video, radio and social media services are also available on Grundig TVs. With numerous extra functions such as HbbTV the new Smart-Inter@ctive-TVs by Grundig combine the advantages of the internet with the amenities of a television set.

From September 2011, Grundig will go on the internet with a wide range of Smart-Inter@ctive-TV’s. By doing so, access to a multitude of Apps is possible with the Premium Models “Fine Arts” and “Vision 8 Sports-TVs”. These TV models all have the new technological platform Digi-TP-Chassis. The TV-Board enables direct access to selected, integrated Apps via the Grundig television. These also already contain HbbTV and for screen sizes of 40 inches and above there is breathtaking enjoyment of television in 3D. The new Picture Perfection rate with its up to 400 Hz for pin-sharp images is another advantage, particularly in fast-moving image contents. Internet television at its best thanks to wireless LAN: Apart from internet connection by cable, there is a wireless LAN interface in all Smart-Inter@ctive-TVs up to 46 inches. This means inconvenient tangling of cables is avoided and the networked enjoyment of television is an optical delight as well.

With Apps such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, flickr and picasa Grundig models with screen sizes of up to 55 inches also support exchange of information with friends within social networks. Networking is even more comfortable about the start page “Grundig Smart-Inter@ctive-TV-Platform“: It guides users quickly and easily to the most recently posted pictures and activities of friends. So television becomes more interactive, lively and individual. On the new Smart-Inter@ctive-TV’s Apps such as YouTube can be displayed and automatic updates can be carried out in future. A new remote control with integrated speed dial keys makes access to favourite-Apps easier and at the same time contributes to the simple handling of the Smart-Inter@ctive-TV’s.

In the field of health and lifestyle Grundig offers exclusive Apps from selected providers for the first time on its Smart-Inter@ctive-TV’s, including @apotheken.de, arztsuche.de and Laufen.de amongst others. The online platform laufen.de provides hints and tipps on the topic running whether beginner or professional. Auto-Tests, reports and documentaries on the topic of automobiles can be obtained via the exclusive auto motor and sport-channel on Grundig televisions. Always well informed: There is an App for this from Bild.de. With one click users can obtain an overview of regional urban life and navigate through daily videos, news and pictures. Delicious recipe ideas: As of now 400 recipes with pictures as well as videos are available on Grundig televisions via the exclusive App from BonGusto. With this application, cookery enthusiasts have a unique collection of recipes on their screens via Smart-Inter@ctive-TV’s regardless of whether it is solid cooking or Haute Cuisine.
