MiLAN's EmPowered Ethernet products enable the network designer to use fewer "well placed" Access Points to achieve better performance at a lower overall cost. Poor Access Point placement can easily double wireless equipment/cabling costs if your installation layout is tied to existing AC power outlet locations. Some proprietary or "low-cost" PoE solutions can be become very costly if accidentally plugged into a laptop or switch with no PoE capability or not designed to IEEE 802.3af standards.
