The CH-4400 is the world’s cleanest burning charcoal cookstove. Its carbon monoxide emissions levels are below the World Health Organization’s 60 minute exposure limits. The secret to unlocking the lowest carbon monoxide emissions in the world is in the two-part design and patent pending insulated metal alloy combustion chamber. This specific chamber design reflects radiated heat back to the charcoal bed, which eliminates virtually all of the carbon monoxide normally associated with typical charcoal stoves.
This reflected heat (“inverse suntan” as we like to refer to it) rapidly increases the temperature of the charcoal which not only increases the amount of heat that is transferred to the pot leading to dramatically lower fuel use, but also destroys virtually all of the carbon monoxide that would be seen in a typical charcoal stove.
