The large cooking surface is complemented by the cooking performance of both the 3 cast iron burners and cast iron grid/ griddle combination. The use of a cast iron cooking system offers many benefits; cast iron is durable and tough, it effectively distributes heat to provide a more even cooking temperature across the gill. Without the traditional temperature fluctuations, food is cooked to perfection, it is succulent, tender and flavoursome with all of the char-grilled barbecue flavour you’d expect. The revolving lid also adds to the versatility of your cooking, providing more controlled cooking and with the lid down, offers the option of more oven-like cooking. Two large side tables are perfect for prepping and keeping essential condiments close to hand.

- Manufactured in our own factory in Italy.
- Enamelled cast iron cooking grids provide good heat distribution for conduction cooking. The enamelling helps with rust resistance as cast iron can be susceptible to rusting. These grids however, are heavy so are not so easy to clean as wire grids.
- The cooking area is split, ½ grill, ½ griddle (excluding Adelaide 2 Classic L and Adelaide 2 Classic L Deluxe), you can cook more delicate food on the griddle as it will not fall through to the burners below, perfect conduction cooking. The grill allows for conduction and convection cooking.
- As the cooking area is split, it is easier to handle and clean.
- There are built-in finger spacers so that you can easily remove and replace the grill and griddle.
- The fixed warming rack allows you to prepare food in advance and then keep it warm until you are ready to serve. You can also use the warming rack as a slow-cooking function with the lid in the closed position. The warming rack can be removed and easily cleaned.
- Cast iron burners (2 to 4 burners depending on model) – with heat diffuser.
- The heat diffuser is a shaped, metal plate with holes cut across it, it has a number of benefits. Firstly the diffuser “diffuses” the heat creating a more even heat distribution and minimising hot and cold spots. Secondly, it protects the burner from large food debris and less grease falls directly onto the burner, which increases the burner life. Finally, as less food and grease is directly reaching the burner, smoke and flare-ups are minimised.
- Revolving lid needs less space behind the barbecue for opening and closing.
- Handle stays cool-to the-touch when barbecue is in use.
- The trolley is constructed from a combination of FSC® certified wood and powder coated steel, powder coating is extremely heat resistant.
- Plastic feet inserts prevent scratching of patios and prevent the barbecue from sinking in the ground.
- Removable grease drawer – excess grease collects in the draw, it can easily be removed and cleaned. The draw slides in from the front of the barbecue with a discreet handle.
- Mechanical piezo ignition for simple and easy lighting.
