For your convenience the appliance remains open at 105°. With the sliding system at the left side, you entirely open the appliance at 180° and transform it into a barbecue.
To change the baking plates we recommend to open the appliance to 180°.
While heating up the appliance needs to be closed.
Before you start grilling it is recommended to grease the plates with some oil (peanut oil or sunflower oil,) or melted butter, eventough the plates have a non stick coating. You can do this with a piece of kitchen paper or with a silicon brush. Afterwards it is not necessary anymore, unless you burn the food.
